The Scottish Saxophone Academy hosts and promote saxophone education and performance events, including residential weekends, courses, saxophone days, masterclasses, and concerts.
Marram's debut album, Sun Choir, features contributions from Jarvis Cocker, doseone, Owen Pallett, White Hinterland, and Scottish folk singer Margaret Bennett, alongside specially composed lyrics by Irvine Welsh, Alexander McCall Smith, Valerie Gillies, and Tom Leonard.

The Scottish Saxophone Ensemble have performed in the UK and abroad, including at International Chamber Music Matters in Scotland and the 15th World Saxophone Congress in Bangkok. The ensemble recently performed at "Les Rencontres du saxophone" Festival, Strasbourg, and released their first CD, “Mrs Malcolm” on Largo Music.
The Youth Music Initiative aims to create access to high quality music making opportunities for young people in Scottish schools. Funded by YMI, Mike has written and delivered the Jazzamatazz programme for Aberdeenshire Music Service for several years, and introduced the same programme to West Lothian schools in 2017,
The World Saxophone Congress XVI was hosted from the 10th to the 15th July 2012 in the historic coastal town of St Andrews, Scotland.
