​I have enjoyed teaching players of all ages and abilities for over 20 years, including in schools, universities, masterclasses, and through my music courses and workshops. I run a busy private teaching practice, and am saxophone tutor at Edinburgh Napier University.

Previous teaching posts include saxophone tutor at St Andrews University, Edinburgh University, and St Mary's Music School, and delivering workshops across the country for Live Music Now! and Chamber Music Scotland. For ten years I led improvisation workshops in primary schools across Aberdeenshire for the Youth Music Initiative, and more recently have worked with the Big Noise programme.​

 

With the Scottish Saxophone Academy, I host regular 'turn-up-and-play' sessions for local saxophonists in The Big Blaw! - feel free to join us! I also run an annual saxophone course in Stirling, Scotland.

I offer saxophone lessons, either one-to-one in Dalgety Bay (Fife, near Edinburgh) or online via Zoom. All ages and abilities are very welcome, please do get in touch via the form, below.
